Job summary

Swagelok Texas Mid-Coast seeks an experienced SolidWorks Designer to develop detailed layouts and assemblies in 3D/CAD. You will manage SolidWorks licensing and PDM, ensure drawing quality, and coordinate with engineers and sales to meet customer needs.

This role requires leadership in CAD processes and a focus on design efficiency. The position emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and adherence to Swagelok quality standards while supporting complex projects without direct personnel management

Qualifications

• 5+ years SolidWorks experience required.
• 3 years CAD design with fluid systems and sheet metal.
• Experience with tube routing, sheet metal, weldments, and configurations.
• Experience administering SolidWorks PDM (or similar vault).
• Experience managing software licenses in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for CAD processes, standards, drawing quality, and efficiency across the team.
• Coordinate with engineers, technical staff, and customers to meet project requirements.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, process diagrams, BOMs, and GA drawings for customized designs.
• Produce approval drawings with layouts, sections, BOMs, callouts and dimensions.
• Administer SolidWorks licensing and PDM; manage access, workflows, and data integrity.
• Ensure drawings comply with quality systems and standards.
