Job summary

Aave Labs in the United States is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to design, implement, and deploy secure Solidity contracts across Ethereum and other EVM networks. You will own small to mid-size projects end-to-end and contribute to larger protocol initiatives, collaborating with the software engineering team to build reliable DeFi infrastructure.

• Proven experience delivering production Solidity contracts.
• Deep understanding of EVM-based networks and DeFi primitives.
• Ability to own end-to-end small to mid-size projects.
• Strong security mindset with vulnerability testing experience.
• Experience with code reviews and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy Solidity contracts.
• Own mid-size projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Contribute to protocol initiatives like Aave V4, vaults, and GHO.
• Improve protocol infrastructure and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers to ship new features and fixes.
• Investigate security vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Review peers' code with emphasis on correctness and tests.
• Stay updated on Ethereum, DeFi security trends.
