Zusammenfassung

Aave Labs is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to design, implement, test, and deploy Solidity-based contracts across Ethereum and other EVM networks. You will own small to medium projects end-to-end and collaborate with the engineering team to build secure DeFi infrastructure.

You will contribute to protocol initiatives, maintain protocol tooling, and stay ahead of security research and new developments in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience building and shipping production smart contracts using Solidity.
• Experience with DeFi protocols and a strong understanding of the EVM and common protocol design patterns.
• Ability to independently design and deliver well-defined smart contract projects of limited scope, identifying technical requirements, trade-offs, and potential risks.
• Deep technical expertise in DeFi areas such as lending, vaults, stablecoins, liquidity, or protocol integrations.
• Strong knowledge of smart contract security, including common vulnerability classes, testing methodologies, and secure development practices.
• Ability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
• Track record of producing reliable, well-tested code and providing constructive code reviews.
• Habit of staying up-to-date with exploits, security research, tooling, and Ethereum developments.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and test secure Solidity-based smart contracts and decentralised applications.
• Own small to medium-sized smart contract projects end to end, including adapters and integrations from design through deployment.
• Contribute to protocol initiatives (e.g., Aave V4, vaults, GHO) within established architecture.
• Contribute to protocol infrastructure and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ship new protocol features.
• Investigate security vulnerabilities and contribute to mitigation and response.
• Review code written by others with a focus on correctness, testing, and security.
• Stay updated on Ethereum, DeFi, and security developments to apply learnings.
