Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Planner to support and lead the waste sector with a focus on recycling, sustainability and municipal planning across multiple Colorado locations, including Greenwood Village.

You will develop proposals, manage projects, and mentor staff within HDR’s employee-owned culture. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and communities to design cost-effective waste systems, write strategic plans, and evaluate technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years environmental experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the waste sector developing the business through writing proposals, managing projects, and building staff.
• Develop long-range waste management strategic plans for municipalities including researching, identifying, assessing and evaluating technologies and programs.
• Support planning and approval processes for waste management facilities.
• Prepare project reports, memorandums and presentations for various audiences; manage client relationships and strategic directions.
