Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Supervising Solid Waste Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex solid waste and remediation projects in Southern California. This senior role combines technical depth with project leadership, client management and business development capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in environmental/remediation, CA-specific experience, and a CA PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• California PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 12+ years in environmental remediation or solid waste engineering with CA experience.
• Experience in environmental consulting and client relationships.
• Knowledge of landfill gas systems, closure and geosynthetics, QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex solid waste and remediation projects from scoping to completion.
• Provide technical leadership and senior review of designs, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Oversee landfill gas systems, closure, geosynthetics, and QA/QC during construction.
• Develop proposals, manage budgets, schedules, and technical risk.
• Mentor engineers and grow client relationships in Southern California.
• Identify new business opportunities and assist with strategic pursuits.
• Collaborate with environmental and water resources teams.
