Mecklenburg County's LUESA division seeks a Solid Waste Technician IV for the Foxhole Landfill. You will operate very large and complex heavy equipment, follow safety procedures, and perform waste screening and customer service support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform load inspections on waste materials and monitor for unacceptable loads.
• Operate equipment for processing, collection, and disposal of recyclables and waste.
• Maintain and troubleshoot diesel and hydraulic equipment.
• Ensure a clean work area to prevent vehicle damage.
• Drive semi-tractor trailers hauling materials and heavy equipment as needed.
• Monitor job-site safety and assist with training others when applicable.
