Job summary

Leidos in Northern Virginia is seeking a Senior Solid Rocket Propulsion SME to join a team of experts providing analytic support for launch vehicle and missile analyses, satellite technology and C4ISR at a customer site.

The successful candidate will lead analyses of solid propellant motors, mentor junior colleagues, and interact with government customers daily, with required Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 13+ years experience.
• At least 12+ years related to solid rocket propellants.
• Secret security clearance (higher preferred) and ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Must have a valid US passport.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in all aspects of solid propellant rocket motors and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Interact with customer personnel at all levels on a daily basis.
• Conduct analyses on solid propulsion components of ballistic missile systems and advise government customers.
• Teach courses on solid propellant rocket fundamentals, modeling, and manufacturing requirements.
• Mentor junior colleagues.
