Job summary

BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient warehouse and logistics operations for solar distribution.

You will develop a high-performing team, oversee fleet operations where applicable, and partner with the Branch Manager to ensure reliable order fulfillment and strong customer delivery performance. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, safety leadership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• OSHA10 certification due within 6 months.
• OSHA30 certification due within 12 months.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• High level of customer service skills.
• Strong project management, analytical thinking, and collaboration.
• Commitment to safety first and PPE protocol.
• Experience with inventory planning and warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations with focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity in a fast-paced solar distribution environment.
• Partner with Branch Manager on hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Manage schedules, payroll, performance feedback, and employee relations.
• Drive accountability through coaching and performance management.
• Oversee end-to-end warehouse flow: receiving, storage, inventory movement, picking, packing, and outbound shipping.
• Ensure timely order fulfillment to support project schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counting and process discipline.
• Optimize layout, equipment use, and material flow for speed and safety.
• Collaborate with logistics to schedule and execute shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Oversee fleet operations where applicable.
