Powerful Solar, based in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an Experienced Solar Project Manager to lead full lifecycle solar installations—from planning and permitting to interconnection, inspections, and delivery. The role requires ownership of complex projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to high industry standards in a fast-growing team.

You will coordinate with clients, city agencies, and utilities while managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of solar project management experience.
• Knowledge of permitting, utility interconnection, and inspection processes.
• Proven track record managing multiple solar projects end-to-end.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar software preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and stay calm under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Develop and manage detailed timelines, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure alignment with company strategy and client expectations.
• Research, submit, and track city/municipal permits.
• Liaise with planning departments for documentation needs.
• Maintain compliance with building codes and zoning laws.
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection and approvals.
• Schedule inspections with city and utility inspectors.
• Maintain permits and documentation for inspections and approvals.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources across labor, materials, and equipment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Oversee quality control and safety during project delivery.
• Document permits, inspections, approvals, and changes.
• Support post-installation activities and client walk-throughs.
