Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, a leading wholesale electricity generator, seeks a Solar Engineering & Construction project professional in Florida. You will own assigned solar projects, coordinating with regional leads to ensure technically feasible, schedule-aligned, and financially viable delivery as part of the Early-Stage process.

Key activities include budgeting, development and permitting support, contract negotiations, and engaging executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
• Experience delivering projects in construction, energy, or solar.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety on assigned projects.
• Validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements and review contractor payments.
• Ensure proper resource allocation and resolve issues to maintain project viability.
• Coordinate project activities with vendors, regulatory agencies, and local officials.
• Assist in scope control, budget oversight, and performance reporting.
• Interface with landowners, regulators, and state agencies.
• Reinforce safety expectations and compliance for employees and contractors.
• Coordinate with safety, engineering, construction, budget, and contract administration groups.
