Job summary

Pearce Renewables in Minneapolis, MN, is hiring an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (O&M) to perform hands-on maintenance at local solar sites. This role focuses on safe operation, preventative and corrective maintenance, and documentation of activities.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in solar O&M, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and the ability to mentor apprentices. A company vehicle, tools, and safety equipment are provided; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants.
• Preventative maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Station Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub‑Station equipment.
• Maintain documentation including work orders and time logs.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with meters and similar equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment.
• Follow safety practices including LOTO and JHA.
• Work independently and in a team.
• Operate a company vehicle safely.
