Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Craft QC Electric Inspector 4 to visually and physically inspect solar PV systems on varied terrains, ensuring compliance with plans, specs and industry standards. The role involves reading drawings, interpreting wiring, testing components, and maintaining safety protocols on-site.

Qualified candidates will have NCCER certifications, state electrical licensure, and at least 4 years of electrical or QC experience.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of electrical experience or combined electrical and QC experience.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical craft and NEC.
• Must have all necessary tools per Craft QC Tool List.

Responsibilities

• Inspect PV systems visually and electrically per plans and specs.
• Read and interpret drawings, one-line diagrams, P&ID’s and schedules.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to QC inspectors.
• Ensure inspections comply with plans, specs and industry standards.
• Identify hazards and use stop-work authority when needed.
