Job summary

EDP Renewables, a global renewable energy leader, seeks a Construction Lead Expert for our North America HQ in Houston, TX. You will manage company-owned asset construction with third-party contractors, ensuring safety, quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery across projects.

The role requires extensive experience in project management, rooftop solar PV and ground-mount projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ rooftop solar PV (>=500 kWdc) and FT/SAT ground-mount (>=3 MWdc) project experience.
• PMP certification desirable but not required.
• Office and field experience considered.
• Experience with CPM scheduling and MS Project/Primavera preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence and on-time delivery.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and IFC packages.
• Manage contractors and external consultants; oversee contracts.
• Lead site visits and report progress weekly.
• Perform risk management and manage changes in scope, cost, schedule.
• Build relationships with landlords, contractors, and stakeholders.
