Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Field Service Specialist to deliver advanced maintenance and troubleshooting for Solar and Battery Storage projects across North America. The role includes reviewing electrical designs, supporting construction of new assets, and developing training programs for field personnel.

You will work with regional teams to implement reliability plans, assist with commissioning, and create technical documentation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certificate in electrical systems or related field, or licensed journeyman electrician with relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of field experience in utility-scale solar (10+ MWac).
Strong knowledge of medium/high voltage power systems, inverters, and digital control systems.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul or repair of critical equipment in office or field.
Develop and lead a training program for technicians on Condition Monitoring Technologies and electrical systems operation.
Coordinate with Reliability Engineers to help develop a Reliability Based Maintenance plan for operational assets.
Provide commissioning and start-up support for projects under construction.
Create and review technical documentation and procedures for Solar and Battery Storage equipment.
Assist in development of Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis for the portfolio.
Provide expert technical support for Enel Global fleet as needed.
