Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions seeks a Software Test Engineer to drive QA for POS solutions in retail. This on-site role in Frisco, TX requires leadership in test guidance and translating requirements into test scenarios.

You will collaborate with product and development teams, design test plans, execute test cases, report defects, and mentor juniors, while contributing to a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of software test methodologies and quality strategy.
• 6+ years of experience in software test engineering.
• Experience with test coverage analysis, test execution, and defect management.
• Participation in agile SDLC; use of agile project management tools.
• Test automation experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Postman, TestNG, etc.
• Basic programming skills in Java.
• Basic understanding of Linux commands and filesystem.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Work with test management to implement and maintain quality improvement processes and ensure proper test coverage.
• Identify testing gaps and advise plans to improve.
• Provide test estimates for setup, configuration, and execution.
• Set up test environments including hardware and software installations.
• Coordinate with product and development teams to define test coverage.
• Review design documents, specifications, and existing test coverage.
• Design, implement, and execute test cases and results; report and track defects.
• Create documentation for test initiatives and traceability matrices.
• Mentor junior team members.
