Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Broomfield, CO. The role focuses on developing test plans and scripts using the Robot Framework and writing Python scripts for automated testing. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and robust test coverage throughout the development lifecycle.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of software testing experience, with U.S. person status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• U.S. person status: citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status.
• Due to national security requirements, candidates who are nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia must also be U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans in Confluence and test cases using the Robot Framework.
• Create automated testing infrastructure with Python or related languages.
• Identify and correct issues when possible; for larger problems, coordinate with the development team and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
• Perform manual and automated testing, including regression and stress tests, to detect defects and ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews to embed testability, scalability, and quality in the development process.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
