Job summary

Dexcom Corporation is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join the Data Platform Test Engineering team. You will develop automated and manual tests for the CGM software and related systems, ensuring quality across the development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement API and UI testing, and contribute to release processes while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cloud-based testing environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software or test development with Python or other OOP languages.
• SQL and/or NoSQL databases experience required.
• Experience with API testing and automated test development.
• Experience with Robot Framework and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API testing, microservices and distributed cloud systems.
• Experience with automated UI testing and cloud apps (GCP/AWS).
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of FDA design controls is a plus for medical device context.
• Experience with data platforms and Airflow/Dataflow/BigQuery helpful.
• CI/CD with cloud-based tech is desired.
• 5+ years in Agile development/test development.

Responsibilities

• Write automated tests and perform ad hoc testing across the development cycle.
• Contribute to software requirements and design specifications.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for Dexcom CGM software and system.
• Create verification and validation test plans, reports, and traceability matrices.
• Record and track issues in the bug tracking system.
• Analyze failures and work with development teams to determine root causes.
• Contribute to release process improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior engineers.
