Job summary

Seasats is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to own the foundation for software and vehicle updates, including release engineering, packaging, and tooling. You will ensure end-to-end delivery, maintain pipelines, and enable scalable, secure updates for our unmanned maritime vehicles.

Ideal candidates have deep Linux knowledge, containerization expertise, and hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and automation.

Qualifications

8+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, release engineering, or platform roles.
Experience with cloud infra and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong Linux internals, packaging formats, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience building delivery pipelines and build/packaging automation.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery process for software and vehicle software: versioning, build artifacts, packaging, and staged rollout.
Define and maintain delivery pipelines and pre-launch qualification.
Implement IaC to keep environments consistent and repeatable.
Build tooling to track rollout health and support rollback when needed.
Harden packaging and delivery for security, reliability, and cost efficiency as fleet scales.
Act as integration point between vehicle software, cloud services, and third-party systems.
Improve developer experience by streamlining environments and workflows.
Support production systems and, on occasion, active vehicle missions.
Support deployment automation and packaging tooling across the org.
