Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Senior Software System Engineer to provide technical oversight across software, hardware and firmware systems for high‑level projects. You will guide designs, reviews, and standards while communicating with vendors, customers, and JT4 leadership.

The role requires strong programming expertise (Python, C++, C#, Java), systems engineering background, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Travel to remote locations may be required, and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline with at least 14 years of related experience.
• Master's degree in an associated discipline with at least 10 years of related experience.
• PhD in an associated discipline with at least 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current development designs and ensure technical specifications and requirements are met.
• Ensure projects adhere to industry, quality, and security standards.
• Provide innovative and cost-effective engineering methodologies to development teams.
• Lead collaborative discussions with customer and technical staff; participate in conferences like ITEA and ITC.
• Oversee multiple development projects, identify risks, and manage timelines/resources.
• Mentor and guide technical staff; develop advanced methods for complex system design.
