Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to support the Precision Fires program in Huntsville, AL. You will drive requirements development, technical documentation, and cross-functional integration across the system lifecycle in an Agile environment.

You will actively manage requirements with IBM DOORS and Azure DevOps, ensuring traceability and alignment with Software Safety, Test, and Cybersecurity. A strong background in systems engineering and DoD lifecycle experience is required.

Qualifications

Strong background supporting systems engineering across the complete software development lifecycle.
Experience with Army Acquisition Life Cycle is a strong plus.
Hands-on DOORS (9.7.x) for active data and requirements management.
Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps for requirements support.
US Citizenship with Interim Secret able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end systems engineering activities for Precision Fires programs, applying critical thinking to resolve complex, system-of-systems engineering challenges.
Develop, analyze, and manage existing and new system requirements throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Actively utilize IBM DOORS (9.7.x) to manage requirement data independently, establishing traceability links and exporting RVMs.
Work within an Agile environment, attending regular scrum meetings and leveraging Azure DevOps for requirement tracking and support.
Assimilate and align system requirements with Software Safety, Test, and Cybersecurity.
Author, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation and specifications.
