Job summary

The Boeing Company in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Lead Software Systems Engineer to join the SATCOM Mission Planning Software Engineering team. The role focuses on high‑performance APIs, DevSecOps integration, and full lifecycle development for space and ground systems.

Key work includes front‑end/back‑end API design, secure CI/CD pipelines, and real‑time data processing in an Agile environment. Onsite, with US security clearance requirements and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 5+ years of software development experience for space systems and ground segments.
• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• 3+ years of JavaScript experience (Angular, JQuery).

Responsibilities

• Leads requirements, architecture, interfaces for high‑performance APIs between front‑end and back‑end services.
• Supports software development in an Agile DevSecOps environment with integration of components.
• Drives development of critical features and full lifecycle ownership from design to deployment.
• Architects and consumes APIs and backend services with emphasis on automation, testing, and security.
• Leads code reviews to ensure quality and standards compliance.
