Job summary

PDF Solutions, Inc. in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Senior LabVIEW Software Developer to design and implement machine control software for an Electron Beam Microscope based metrology tool.

You will contribute to architecture, calibrations, and diagnostics while traveling for tool installation and support. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of LabVIEW experience, strong object-oriented skills, and a background in semiconductor environments.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or BS with equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, especially in numeric algorithms and physics domain.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW development for GUI and time critical applications.
• Strong hands on skills on hardware control SW and troubleshooting.
• Must have at least 4+ years of software development experience in machine control using National Instruments LabVIEW, preferably in semiconductor industry.
• Proficient in Object Oriented development concepts.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, results oriented with delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Scope and design software architecture for the Electron Beam Microscope based metrology tool.
• Research and prototype algorithms for tool control; develop calibration and diagnostics methodologies.
• Support control software activities: design, installation, troubleshooting and testing.
• Mentor team members on components of the architecture.
• Manage internal and external engineering resources to progress the project.
• Document design, debugging and testing procedures.
• Develop machine control software for semiconductor capital equipment including data acquisition and analysis.
• Write machine control software in LabVIEW and higher level software for automation.
• Work with technical requirement specs to develop and document code.
• Implement intuitive slick GUI.

Pay Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
