Vidac Solutions in Fenton, MO is seeking an experienced Engineering HMI Programmer to design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automated test systems. You will translate client needs into robust, data-driven controls and collaborate with engineers and customers to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires LabVIEW specialization, PLC programming experience, and strong communication. Occasional travel to support customers is expected as the business grows.

• 3+ years of LabVIEW development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control hardware.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi).

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering HMI Programmer who is passionate about automation, test systems, and software-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a National Instruments LabVIEW expert who can collaborate with engineers and clients alike, translating technical needs into functional, reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automation, data acquisition, and control systems.
• Proficient with other code languages such as C/C++, C#, VBA, Python, and IEC 61131-3 Languages for PLCs and/or ladder logic.
• Participate in full project lifecycles-from concept and design to implementation and validation.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements, troubleshoot systems, and ensure successful delivery.
• Support business development through technical discussions, proposals, and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience with LabVIEW (Certified LabVIEW Developer preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition, and control hardware.
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar).
• Ability to troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Strong communication skills - comfortable talking with teammates and customers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: enjoys rolling up sleeves to help wherever needed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support.
