Job summary

Key People is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to own complex production issues across our SaaS platforms. You will work hands-on with application code, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure to diagnose root causes and implement lasting solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, application support, or production support in a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across application code, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL, and AngularJS familiarity.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and authentication/SSO.

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 3 production support, diagnosing and resolving escalated issues end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues in Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Perform root-cause analyses to prevent recurring problems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support to improve stability.
• Develop automation/scripts and AI-assisted tooling to streamline troubleshooting.
• Contribute to product modernization and migrations to modern frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve technical documentation.
