Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies in Lakewood, CO, seeks a Software Quality Test Engineer 3 to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality software across new development and sustaining products with a shift-left approach.

The role designs and executes tests from requirements and risk, collaborating with SDETs, DevOps, and global teams to embed quality throughout the lifecycle and drive automation where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of software quality engineering experience.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical device preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans based on requirements, risk, and intended use.
• Create and maintain comprehensive, traceable test cases.
• Design high-quality test cases with clear preconditions, steps, and expected results.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with SDETs.
• Execute manual testing and evaluate automation results for quality.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, risk controls, test cases, results, and defects.
