Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Quality Assurance team within our Software Engineering organization. You will define and execute quality strategies ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of warehouse automation and logistics software platforms.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to drive testing excellence across the software development lifecycle and mentor junior QA engineers in best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software QA or related domain.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, C#, Java).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with US leadership team, define comprehensive QA strategies for warehouse automation and logistics software systems.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage throughout the software lifecycle.
• Evaluate and implement QA processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing in simulated environments.
• Coordinate work for offshore SQA teams and align testing efforts with business objectives.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices.
• Manage defect lifecycle and prioritize issues effectively.

• Knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, and RESTful APIs Exposure to performance and security testing

• Passion for quality and continuous learning

OurEnvironment

• Up to 10% of travel may berequired. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

• Employees maybe requiredto use a personal credit card for business travel expenses, which are reimbursed based on the program guidelines. Eligible employees may receive a corporate credit card based on role and travel requirements, but a personal credit card may be needed during onboarding until the corporate card is issued.
