Job summary
Molecular Devices, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Software NPI and Release Engineer to enable successful introduction, release, and manufacturing of software-enabled life science instruments. This on-site role in Downingtown, PA collaborates across product development, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities include manufacturing readiness reviews, release planning, and tooling development for installers and imaging utilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years of software development/release experience.
- Proficient Python development and ability to work across codebases.
- Experience building release pipelines and deployment packages.
- Experience with web services, REST APIs, and licensing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own and facilitate software Manufacturing Readiness Reviews from planning to launch.
- Coordinate release scope, milestones, and handoffs for release candidates and gold-master images.
- Develop installers, imaging tools, and deployment utilities.
- Maintain product-activation and license-generation services.
- Coordinate release readiness across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Service, and Supply Chain.
