Job summary

Current Lighting in Round Rock, TX, is seeking a Sr Software Manager to lead our Enterprise and Mobile Applications team. Join a fast-paced, cloud-connected IoT software effort to build scalable web and mobile products.

You will drive SDLC, mentor a distributed team, and partner with cross-functional groups to deliver solutions that meet market needs, with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted processes and modern cloud technologies. This on-site role requires leadership and hands-on expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on software development experience with web-based applications.
• 5+ years hands-on back-end experience – C#.NET, Java.
• 3+ years developing for Linux/Ubuntu.
• 3+ years deploying to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geographically dispersed software development team.
• Lead the development and support of scalable enterprise and cloud applications.
• Lead development of high-performing and reliable web and mobile applications.
• Translate product marketing requirements into epics and user stories.
• Drive performance and foster collaborative teams, including AI tools usage.
• Identify and remove roadblocks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Research and adopt new technologies for future product enhancements.
• Protect intellectual property through patent disclosures and applications.
