Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced Senior Software Lead to join our Software Project Execution team. You will manage software projects through full lifecycle, coordinating across engineering, QA, commissioning and customers in the Americas, Canada and Mexico.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 4–7+ years in software project execution, exposure to WMS/WCS, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SAP and MS Office. Travel about 20-25% is expected.

• 1+ year of industrial automation industry experience (WMS or WCS) a plus.
• Willingness to travel 20-25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive software project plans, include scope definition, task breakdown, resource allocation and budget management.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand and document project requirements and track them through completion.
• Act as the primary point of coordination for software scope across engineering, QA, commissioning, and customer stakeholders.
• Develop project risk management plans and identify potential mitigation strategies with project teams.
• Proactively manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, following established change control processes.
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to standard execution processes, tools, and governance models.
• Manage project punch list through the project lifecycle.
• Understand the technical impact of decisions on business operations for Customer’s operation.
• Mentor Software Leads on process and projects with higher complexity.
• Prepare and analyze project reports using data metrics.
• Review change order quotes and project variance estimates.

The Senior Software Lead independently manages projects through the full project lifecycle from Initiation and planning to execution, monitoring and closeout - ensuring timely task completion, accurate documentation and clear stakeholder communication.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000 - $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Willingness to travel 20-25%
