Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. The position covers real-time embedded software integration on combat vehicle systems, Linux-based testing, scripting, networking, and cybersecurity hardening.

1st shift with 9/80 hours, pay rate $61.22/hr, and travel to customer sites. The role involves mentoring engineers, ensuring engineering principles are followed, and meeting customer requirements

Qualifications

• Candidate must obtain DoD Secret Personnel Clearance; US citizenship required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field.
• Minimum 4 years of software integration experience.
• Experience with software integration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) including packaging RPMs.
• Experience with drivers, shared objects, static libraries.
• Experience testing software on Linux operating systems.
• Ability to build and maintain an integration testbed.
• Understanding of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Experience with Git and Jira/Gitlab CM tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Integrates and tests software on RHEL and hardware components in a combat vehicle system.
• Applies knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus to test and troubleshoot.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to investigate issues and analyze data.
• Mentor less experienced engineers in software integration and testing.
• Ensure technical approaches align with engineering principles and meet customer requirements.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
• Work on combat vehicle systems.
