General Motors is seeking a Software Integration Engineer (SWIM) for the Vehicle Motion Embedded Control (VMEC) organization. You will plan, lead and execute software content and timing for release swimlanes in HYBRID propulsion controllers and chair the SWET with internal and supplier partners to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford, Michigan three times per week, at minimum, and is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
The Role: We are looking for a Software Integration Engineer (aka SWIM) to join our Vehicle Motion Embedded Control (VMEC) organization! The SWIM is a technical project leadership position where you will be responsible to plan, lead and execute software build content and timing for assigned software swimlane(s) for Hybrid Electric Vehicle propulsion controllers. In addition, you would chair the Software Execution Team Meeting (SWET) with key partners to ensure all requirements and work are met on-time with "world's best" quality. Lastly, you will exercise technical direction over engineering support personnel both internally (GM) and externally (supplier) assigned to a given swimlane(s).
