Job summary

Donatech Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to plan and execute testing and integration of software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux within a combat vehicle system. You will work with hardware components, develop integration tests, and verify software items across Linux environments.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure results meet customer, system, and quality requirements. Domestic travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software integration.
• Experience integrating software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Packaging software as RPMs and binaries.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• U.S. Citizenship and W2 employment with Donatech required.

Job description

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship Required.

We are seeking individuals with experience and a passion for software integration and testing of real-time, embedded software.

The Senior Software Integration Engineer plans and performs a variety of tasks across the areas of integrating hardware modules into a combat vehicle system, integrating software items onto Linux Operating Systems, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening and scans, troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification testing.

• Integrates and tests software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components on a combat vehicle system
• Applies knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus within software applications or tools to test and troubleshoot problems
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported issues and analyze collected data
• Mentors less experienced software engineers to help develop their software integration and test capabilities and troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ensures that technical approach is consistent with established engineering principles and practices
• Ensures that product outcomes meet customer needs and that customer and company technical, system, performance, process, and quality requirements are met
• Integration and testing of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems
• Ability to build and maintain a software and hardware integration testbed
• Understanding of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols
• Git and Jira/Gitlab Configuration Management tools
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are a MUST
