Job summary

Ascendion is a global AI-first software engineering services provider seeking an experienced engineer to embed in client squads for live delivery. You will refactor, write unit tests, and promote maintainability while mentoring peers to raise internal capability.

You’ll work across C++, C#, Java, Python and SQL, shaping scalable, robust systems in fast-paced environments and demonstrating strong coaching through metrics and code-quality practices.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with 7+ years commercial experience.
• Experience modernising legacy systems incrementally.
• C++ where applicable; C#, Java, Python, SQL and scripting capability.

• Work embedded in priority squads on live backlog items, modelling modern engineering practice.
• Lead by example on refactoring, unit test adoption, peer review and maintainability.
