Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Software Engineering Senior Manager in St. Louis, MO to lead a team delivering cloud-based solutions across Salesforce, data models, APIs, and modern DevOps practices.

You will drive agile delivery, collaborate with product owners, manage budgets, ensure HIPAA security, and oversee on/offshore engineering resources. Hybrid work schedule with on-site presence in St. Louis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience.
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies.
• Reviewing new business requirements and recommending technology solutions and architecture.
• Developing APIs, data models, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams; knowledge of relevant tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and inform leadership.
• Lead development and delivery by engineers focused on Salesforce, CI/CD, full-stack, and automation tests.
• Collaborate with product owners to deliver cloud-based solutions and robust user experiences.
• Engage across agile teams to design, develop, test and implement solutions.
• Own day-to-day Salesforce operations: change/release management, DevOps, and incident resolution.
• Manage budgets: estimate resourcing and costs, support business cases and plans.
• Lead on/offshore and local teams to drive innovation, quality, and customer excellence.
• Measure and ensure health of production systems.
• Adhere to HIPAA and relevant security controls (NIST/HITRUST CSF).
• Support off-hour releases as needed.
