Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to drive technical leadership across DERMS and automation initiatives. This hybrid role is based in our Waltham, MA or Brooklyn, NY offices and requires strong governance of software delivery and collaboration with product and IT teams.

You will mentor engineers, advance CI/CD practices, and guide cloud/on-prem infrastructure with AWS/Azure/GCP awareness, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC patterns ensuring reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DERMS platform/Study Automation engineering team.
• Lead and collaborate with Vendors, Architects, System Integrators.
• Lead the integration effort with System Integrator teams.
• Work with Product Management on roadmaps and resourcing.
• Contribute to the integration of software components into a fully functional system.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on digital products.
• Contribute to IT standards, procedures, and processes.
• Provide mentorship to the engineering team.
