Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Software Development Lead for the OnVUE team, providing technical leadership across product squads for the remote proctoring platform. You will mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.

You will partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and Platform Architects to deliver secure, scalable software while embracing modern development practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years of technical leadership or lead developer experience.
Strong experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
Experience leading Agile engineering teams.
Experience working within cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for one or more product development squads.
Lead design sessions, architectural discussions, and code reviews.
Mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and drive quality and security.
Collaborate with Product Managers, BAs, QEs, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions.
Support release planning and deployment activities and platform modernization.
