S&P Global Market Intelligence in New York City, hybrid (2 days onsite), seeks an Associate Director of Software Engineering to deliver solutions for the Municipal Bond Issuance platform. You will remain hands‑on, drive architecture, mentor engineers, and influence AI‑driven engineering practices across initiatives.

The role requires deep experience in .NET, C#, AWS, microservices, and API‑first design, with responsibility for delivery, modernization, and security in a regulated financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise‑scale applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, Angular and distributed systems.
• Experience with API‑first, microservices and cloud‑native architectures; modernization of monoliths.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of strategic initiatives, platform enhancements, and modernization efforts.
• Own solution architecture, design, and hands‑on leadership across the SDLC.
• Drive adoption of AI‑assisted engineering practices and cloud‑native patterns.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards; conduct code reviews and troubleshooting.
