Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Tucson, AZ to design, develop, and integrate OO software using C# and C++ in Visual Studio on Windows. The role supports weapon system product development and on-site factory software integration.

You will mentor junior engineers, work in multidisciplinary teams, and help define software requirements. A US citizenship and ability to obtain an active security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience developing/integrating software with C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic.
• Experience with IDEs and debugging tools to ensure software integrity.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate OO software using C#, C++ in Visual Studio on Windows.
• Prioritize and manage multiple software tasks concurrently.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
• Lead or mentor junior software engineers.
