Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC is seeking a Senior Test Systems Engineer P4 for 100% onsite work in Tucson, AZ. This contract requires active security clearance on day one and US citizenship.

You will develop subsystem models using Model Based System Engineering tools, derive requirements, manage traceability, and coordinate with SMEs across engineering disciplines. Responsibilities include detailing capabilities, communicating equipment needs, and promoting test efficiency by reusing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with eight or more years of related engineering experience (or STEM Master's with six years).
• Experience in Systems Engineering or related discipline with emphasis on test requirements, methodologies, and validation.
• Experience with developing or managing system requirements across a product lifecycle.
• Experience with test-related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience with Model Based Engineering processes, tools and standards (MBSE, SysML/UML, and related tools).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance on day one.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of the subsystem and collaborate with other disciplines to develop and implement the subsystem model using MBSE tools and methods.
• Detail capabilities and derive requirements.
• Communicate test equipment needs and requirements to Test Equipment designers.
• Manage requirements and traceability.
• Leverage reuse of Test Environment requirements and models to promote efficiency in test design and development.
• Develop subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and architecture.
• Interact with Technical SMEs to understand subsystems, identify issues, and support trades or analyses.

CONTRACT

This position is 100% onsite in our Tucson, AZ location.

Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

What You Will Do

• You will apply your knowledge of the subsystem and?collaborate?with other Engineering disciplines to?develop?and implement the subsystem model using Model Based System Engineering?tools?and methods.
• Detail capabilities and derive requirements.
• Communicate test equipment needs and requirements to Test Equipment designers.
• Manage requirements and traceability.
• Leverage and apply reuse of Test Environment requirements and models to promote efficiency in test design and development.
• You will?develop?subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and architecture.
• You will?interact?with Technical SMEs as necessary to fully?understand?the subsystem including identifying and resolving issues and?supporting?related subsystem trades or analysis.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related engineering experience (or a STEM Masters with 6 years related experience)
• Experience in Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline such as but not limited to emphasis in test requirements development, test methodologies, test requirements documents, integration, verification, and/or validation for test.
• Experience with developing, decomposing, and/ or managing system requirements across a product lifecycle such as design and transition to production.
• Experience with test related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience with Model Based Engineering processes, techniques, and tools (Rhapsody and IBM Rational Model Manager and/or Cameo Systems Modeler/Enterprise Architect and Teamwork Cloud preferred, and experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML)).
• The ability to maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis, and/or design for manufacturing.
• Experience with Agile processes and techniques.
• Experience with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
• Experience problem solving and debugging.
• Experience recognizing areas of improvement or customer needs and relaying them to senior staff as business development possibilities.
• Experience demonstrating a sense of urgency, prudent risk-taking and adaptive response to challenges.
• Depending?on level of experience, you will provide mentoring and guidance to other team members.
