Stealth Startup is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship high-quality software for an AI-powered platform. You will work hands-on in a fast-moving startup environment, tackling ambiguous problems and making meaningful technical decisions.

Voice AI is valued but not required; strong fundamentals, ownership, and product instincts are essential as the team grows and accelerates product delivery in healthcare AI.

About the Company

We are a seed-stage AI technology company developing innovative solutions in the healthcare space. We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for strong senior engineers who enjoy building products from the ground up and taking meaningful ownership.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our AI-powered platform.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment, solving ambiguous problems, and making meaningful technical decisions.

Voice AI is an important part of our product, making experience with voice, conversational AI, or related technologies highly valuable. However, Voice AI experience is not a strict requirement. We are primarily looking for strong engineering fundamentals, product instincts, high agency, and a willingness to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship high-quality software.
• Build new product capabilities from the ground up.
• Work closely with founders, product, and engineering teams to turn ideas into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, infrastructure, and technical design decisions.
• Develop AI-powered product capabilities and explore emerging AI technologies.
• Contribute to voice and conversational AI initiatives.
• Build secure, reliable, and scalable systems.
• Proactively identify technical challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building and shipping products from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system design, and architecture.

• High-agency mindset with the ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
• Experience working with AI technologies or AI-powered applications.
• Understanding of infrastructure, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Voice AI Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Voice AI or conversational AI
• Speech-to-text or text-to-speech
• LLM-powered applications
• AI agents
• Real-time AI systems
• Conversational interfaces

Voice AI experience is not required if the candidate has strong overall engineering capabilities and relevant AI/product experience.

Location & Work Authorization

• Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States.
• Occasional travel to Boston is expected.
• Must be currently based in the United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
