Job summary

Appfire is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help modernize Advanced Tables for Confluence. You will design, implement, and deliver capabilities using TypeScript, React, and Atlassian Forge, while building integrations with Jira and cloud data sources.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, ensure code quality and security, and own features from design through customer issue resolution in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software development projects or products.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern React.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, including performance, security, reliability, quality, and maintainability.
• Good understanding of modern cloud architectures, with practical experience in AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and external services, including authentication, error handling, and rate limiting.
• Strong engineering practices around automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a cross-functional product team, collaborating with Software Engineers, Product Management, UX, and other specialists across Appfire.
• Design, build, and evolve Advanced Tables capabilities using TypeScript, React, and Atlassian Forge.
• Build new integrations with Jira and other cloud data sources using REST APIs and varied data formats.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, continuously modernizing the product.
• Take ownership throughout the product lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and troubleshooting.
• Promote strong engineering practices around code quality, security, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
