Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support Intelligence Community customers on-site in Chantilly or McLean, VA. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and focuses on sustaining, modernizing, and migrating mission-critical IC applications.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software enhancements, collaborate with Agile teams, and ensure reliability, security, and performance in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software design and OO programming.
• Experience applying modern software engineering principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI).
• Experience with Linux-based development and Git/GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M support for mission-critical IC applications.
• Respond to user issues, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software enhancements and new capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and improve deployment processes.
• Maintain and improve performance, reliability, and security of applications.
• Help migrate to a next-generation application while decommissioning legacy components.
