Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. seeks a senior software engineer with an active TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph and U.S. citizenship.

The role requires fourteen years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four additional SWE years may substitute for the degree. Highly desired: cloud/Big Data experience (NoSQL, Hadoop, JSON/BSON). You will analyze requirements, design and code, fix defects, and lead teams toward robust software

Qualifications

• 14+ years experience as a SWE in programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required
• 4 years of additional SWE experience may substitute for the bachelor

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and standards
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards
• Assist with test procedures for software components
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work completion
• Design or implement complex algorithms with timing and resource constraints
