Job summary

VTG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C++ to join our Fort Meade team. The role covers design, development, testing, and sustainment of RF processing systems for a mission-focused customer. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

The position requires US citizenship with TS/SCI with Poly and a BS in a related technical field. Key activities include building scalable systems in C/C++, Python, and scripting, plus containerizing with Docker/Kubernetes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Systems/EE/CE/CS.
US citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.
Experience with C/C++ and large Python-based systems.
Experience with Bash, awk, sed, PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements to derive software performance requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable mission systems using modern design principles.
Develop software using C, C++, Python and other languages.
Debug existing software and fix defects across languages and tools.
Create Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
Generate automation scripts to improve workflows and operations.
Assist with testing procedures for software components.
Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to derive software requirements.
