Job summary

VTG in Hanover, Maryland seeks an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, test, and sustain complex software systems for mission-critical applications. You will work on processing-intensive analytics and large-scale data sets with strong full-stack development skills in C, C++, Python, Java, and SQL.

The role involves integrating software with new hardware, optimizing data processing, and contributing to designs for real-time systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required.
• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience on programs or contracts of similar scope.
• Experience with Java, Python, SQL, and C/C++ in complex software systems.
• Experience designing, developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining complex software.
• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software applications and systems.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design, functional, and performance requirements.
• Develop software solutions using Java, Python, SQL, C/C++, and related technologies.
• Develop and execute software test procedures and document results.
• Write, maintain, and review software and system documentation.
