Job summary

Jovian Concepts, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 or 3 as an experienced software developer for the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The role centers on a Kubernetes-native platform with a modern web UI, microservices, and cloud-native components, requiring Go, TypeScript, Python, and Kubernetes expertise.

The position emphasizes collaboration across teams, documentation, and adherence to internal standards, with senior responsibilities and a strong clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with Maryland polygraph required.
• Senior-level SWE with 14+ years (Level 2) or 20+ years (Level 3) in similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in CS; four years of equivalent SWE experience may substitute for degree.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Go, TypeScript, Python, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide documentation improvements and development-process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software for new features.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop data queries for databases or repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead appropriate to the project’s process.
• Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with testing procedures for software components.
