Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation seeks a Data Scientist with Advanced Analytics skills to turn data into actionable insights for ISR data and analytics services. You will develop predictive models, analyze diverse data, and deliver data-driven insights to optimize business outcomes.

The role requires strong Python/Java, hybrid cloud/on-prem experience, and a TS/SCI eligible citizen. Onsite work in the Washington DC area (Reston, VA) is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility per DISS.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in STEM fields.
• 4+ years of Python or Java programming experience.
• 4+ years designing and programming applications in hybrid cloud or on-prem environments.
• Experience with database technology and validating data.
• Experience with custom ETL development and data integration.
• Experience designing algorithms to infer relationships between events or entities.
• Ability to prototype end-to-end solutions on rapid timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop Predictive Models using optimization, discrete-event simulation, and rules programming.
• Analyze Diverse Data with Python, Pandas, NumPy, and visualization tools.
• Deliver Data-Driven Insights for business optimization across domains.
• Collaborate on Solution Delivery to inform decisions.
• Maintain Technical Expertise with Git, CI/CD tools like Docker, Jenkins.
