Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance a critical mission system used by hundreds of analysts. You will develop using Kotlin and React in a full-stack environment and contribute to rapid patch deployment to an existing platform.

The role requires a strong technical foundation and a passion for mission-focused software. The position offers telework up to 8 hours per week and comes with Visionist’s employee-owned structure, generous retirement and time-off benefits, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree).
14 years of experience in software development.
Experience with Kotlin, Java, and Object-Oriented Programming.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Mongo, SQL).
Experience with React and Redux.
Experience with Version Control (Git, SVN).
Interest in agile team collaboration with analysts; from requirements to deployment.

Responsibilities

Leverage Kotlin and React to develop a robust web application.
Support a critical mission system with hundreds of active users.
Work in a full stack environment.
Support rapid development and deployment of patches and updates to an existing system in a dynamic role.
