Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to directly support the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, based at Lackland AFB, TX. The role requires U.S.

citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance, and a strong background in software development using Python, Java, JavaScript, and C. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with responsibilities spanning design, documentation, and DevOps integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript and C languages
• Ability to work with multiple teams and customer relationships

Responsibilities

• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, requirements, and proposed solutions
• Document and demonstrate solutions with clear code comments and diagrams
• Plan system specifications, standards, and programming
• Improve operations by analyzing systems and recommending changes
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain and license software
• Develop software solutions by studying user needs and data flows
• Plan and implement agile acquisition/SW development techniques
• Plan and implement DevOps processes for cloud and non-cloud apps
• Coordinate with PMs on findings and vendor adjustments
• Perform other duties as assigned
