Valinor Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own Terra’s software platform. You’ll connect environmental sensors to building systems, design multi-tenant backend services, and ship features with clear tradeoffs for a government-focused product.

You’ll work across hardware and software, drive the roadmap, and ensure production readiness on AWS GovCloud. A strong owner mindset and fluency with telemetry and security are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering on small teams delivering from zero to one.
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems and making architecture tradeoffs.
• Backend focus with frontend comfort; strong data and system design skills.
• Deployment ownership incl. containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own Terra’s software product; write production code across TypeScript stack.
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware teams to connect sensors and devices.
• Drive roadmap from concept to shipped features including alerts and reporting.
• Ensure DoD/government readiness: reliability, monitoring, security, AWS GovCloud.
• Set testing, code review, releases, and guide onboarding of new engineers.
